This policy explains what personal data we receive through the website infavorem.lt (its Lithuanian and English versions), what we use it for, how long we keep it, who we share it with and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR"), the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Legal Protection of Personal Data and the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Electronic Communications.
1. Controller
The controller of your personal data is UAB “In Favorem” (Liepų 5 business center):
- company code 163700497;
- VAT number LT637004917;
- address Liepų g. 5, LT-92138 Klaipėda, Lithuania;
- email irta@infavorem.lt;
- phone +370 658 00998.
We have not appointed a data protection officer. Please use the contact details above for any question about personal data.
2. In short
- You do not need to register on this website, and it shows no advertising.
- We receive your name, email address or phone number only when you write to us through the contact form or by email, or when you call us.
- As on any website, visitors' IP addresses are recorded in the server's technical logs (section 3.3).
- The website keeps inquiries sent through the contact form for a limited time, and then they are deleted (section 5).
- Google Analytics runs only if you agree to it, and the Google map loads only when you press a button (sections 3.4 and 3.5).
- We do not sell your data or pass it to anyone else, except as described in section 4.
3. What data we process and why
3.1. Inquiries sent through the contact form
The contact form is on the “Contacts” page.
What you provide: your name, your email address and your message (up to 400 characters). All three fields are required, and the form cannot be sent without them. You do not have to use the form: you can simply call us or send us an email instead. Please do not include more personal data in your message than your question needs.
What the website records automatically with your inquiry:
- your IP address;
- your browser's identification string (the name and version of your browser and operating system);
- the address of the page on which you filled in the form (as sent by your browser), and the language of that page;
- spam-protection signals: whether your browser ran the form's JavaScript check, how much time passed between opening the page and sending the form, whether a hidden field that people cannot see was filled in, and the assessment based on these signals (accepted, flagged for checking, or withheld as spam) with its reason;
- whether the notification to our mailbox was sent successfully, whether the inquiry has been read, and when it will be deleted.
In addition, to protect the form, we separately record the IP address, the time, and whether the inquiry was withheld as spam. This lets us notice when many inquiries are sent from one address within an hour.
What we use it for: to answer your question – for example about available premises, a viewing or renting the conference room – and to protect the form and our mailbox from spam and abuse.
How it works: your inquiry is saved in the website's database and, unless it is withheld as spam, sent straight away by email to irta@infavorem.lt. The email contains your name, your email address and your message. We reply to the email address you gave.
Automatic spam filter. If an inquiry is sent without the browser running the form's JavaScript check (an inquiry from a page opened more than 7 days earlier is treated the same way), or with the hidden field filled in, the website treats it as spam: it does not email it, but it does save it, and we can review it in the website's administration system and forward it to ourselves. Other signals (for example, a form sent very quickly, many links in the message, or many inquiries from one address) do not stop an inquiry – it is still sent, just flagged for checking. This assessment has no legal effect on you. If JavaScript is switched off in your browser, your inquiry is not emailed to us (even though the page thanks you), so in that case it is better to call us or send us an email.
Legal basis:
- answering an inquiry about renting premises or the conference room – steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); in other cases – our legitimate interest in answering questions put to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- the technical data recorded automatically and the spam filter – our legitimate interest in protecting the form and our mailbox from spam and abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.2. Emails and phone calls
If you write to us directly at irta@infavorem.lt or call us on +370 658 00998, we receive what you give us yourself: your name, your email address or phone number, and what you write or say. We use this data only to reply and to continue the conversation about your question. The legal basis is the same as in section 3.1. We do not record phone calls.
3.3. Visiting the website and server logs
When you open any page of the website, your browser automatically sends the server your IP address, the address of the page requested, the time, your browser's identification string and the address of the page you came from. The server of our website hosting provider (section 4) keeps these entries in technical logs. They are needed for the website to work, to investigate faults and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the website running and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website itself does not record visits in its own database.
3.4. The Google map
Wherever the website shows a Google map, it does not load automatically: until you press the “Show the map” button, the page does not contact Google. When you press it, your browser loads the map from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser data and may use its own cookies. The “Open in Google Maps” link takes you to Google's website. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by pressing the button (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). How Google handles this data is described in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3.5. Visitor statistics: Google Analytics (only with your consent)
The website may use Google Analytics 4 for visitor statistics, but only with your consent. When statistics are switched on, a banner headed “Analytics cookies” appears on your first visit, and you can accept (“Accept”) or decline (“Decline”). Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google. If there is no “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the website, no statistics are collected at all.
If you accept, Google Analytics shows us how many people visit, which pages they open, where they came from (for example, a search engine), what kind of device and browser they use, and from which country or city (approximately) they connect. We also count these actions: clicks on our phone number and email address, a sent inquiry (the thank-you message being shown after the form is sent), and clicks on links that ask about a particular office (for example, “Enquire about office …”). Google Analytics may also record some actions on a page by itself, for example scrolling to the bottom of a page or clicking a link to another website. This data helps us understand how visitors find the website and whether it is easy for them to get in touch with us. We do not link it to your name or email address.
The statistics are collected and processed by Google. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. The website switches off Google signals and ad personalization, and does not allow advertising cookies to be used. Statistics data linked to a browser is kept in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the cookie provisions of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Electronic Communications). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by pressing “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the website. When you withdraw it, no more statistics are sent and the Google Analytics cookies in your browser are deleted. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
3.6. Signing in to the administration system
The administration system is for the website's administrators only. When someone tries to sign in and fails, the website records the IP address, the email address entered and the time, to stop password guessing. For an administrator who is signed in, the session records the IP address and the browser's identification string. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the administration system and the inquiries in it (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The retention periods are in section 5.
4. Who can see your data
- Us. In the website's administration system, inquiries can be seen only by signed-in people to whom UAB “In Favorem” has given an account: only the company's employees, including the employee who maintains the website. Notifications of inquiries go to the mailbox irta@infavorem.lt, and from there emails are also downloaded into the email program on our computer.
- Our website hosting provider. The website, its database and the mailbox irta@infavorem.lt run on a hosting server of Telia Lietuva, AB (company code 121215434). The notifications of inquiries are also sent through this server. The provider stores and transmits this data as part of its hosting service.
- Google – only if you accepted Google Analytics (section 3.5) or pressed “Show the map” (section 3.4).
- Public authorities – only where the law requires it.
We do not pass your data to anyone else and we do not sell it. Inquiries are not checked by any outside spam-filtering service – the filter runs on the website itself.
5. How long we keep data
- Inquiry from the form, accepted without any flag – 183 days (about 6 months) from receipt.
- Inquiry sent to us but automatically flagged for checking – 30 days from receipt.
- Inquiry withheld as spam – 30 days from receipt.
- Withheld inquiry that we reviewed and forwarded to ourselves – 183 days from forwarding.
- IP address and time recorded to count inquiries from one address – 7 days.
- Failed sign-in record for the administration system (IP address, email address entered, time) – up to 7 days.
- Administrator session (IP address, browser identification string) – 14 days, or until signing out.
- Inquiry notifications and other emails in the mailbox irta@infavorem.lt and in the email program on our computer – 3 years; we delete older ones.
- Server logs – as long as the hosting provider's server is set to keep them; the website does not copy them into its own database.
- Consent choice cookie – 182 days.
- Google Analytics cookies – 182 days; statistics data linked to a browser in Google Analytics – no longer than 14 months.
Every inquiry record in the website's database is given a deletion date. Inquiries, spam-protection records and sign-in records whose period has ended are deleted by a deletion task that we run in the administration system, so a record may remain until the task is next run.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
The website, its database and the mailbox irta@infavorem.lt run on a server of the Lithuanian company Telia Lietuva, AB. If you accepted Google Analytics or loaded the map, Google may also process your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's decision of July 10, 2023 on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google LLC participates, and/or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Otherwise your data is not transferred outside the EEA.
7. Your rights
Right to object. Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interest (answers to questions not about renting, the spam-protection data, the server logs and the sign-in records – sections 3.1–3.3 and 3.6), you have the right to object to that processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing that data, unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or we need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Under the GDPR you also have the right to:
- find out whether we process your personal data, and to access it (Article 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed (Article 16);
- have your data erased (Article 17) – for example, we can delete your inquiry and its copies in our mailbox without waiting for its retention period to end;
- have the processing of your data restricted (Article 18);
- receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (Article 20), where the processing is based on your consent or on a contract;
- withdraw your consent at any time (Article 7(3)); withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
How to exercise your rights: email irta@infavorem.lt or write to UAB “In Favorem”, Liepų g. 5, LT-92138 Klaipėda, Lithuania. So that we do not disclose data to the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm your identity – for example, by writing from the same email address you used for your inquiry. We do not charge for replying. We will reply no later than one month after receiving your request; if the request is complex, we may extend this by two further months, and we will tell you if we do.
Because we do not link Google Analytics data to your name or email address, we cannot single it out in response to such a request. You can stop the collection of statistics by withdrawing your consent and deleting the cookies in your browser.
8. Complaints to the supervisory authority
If you believe that we process your data in breach of the law, please contact us first – we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija; L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius; email ada@ada.lt; https://vdai.lrv.lt).
9. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This website uses only the following cookies:
infavorem_consent– set by infavorem.lt. Remembers whether you accepted visitor-statistics cookies, so that the banner is not shown every time. Lifetime: 182 days. No consent needed: it is required to remember your choice._gaand_ga_LQYB76RBV1– set by Google Analytics on behalf of infavorem.lt. Tell one browser from another and keep the state of a visit, for statistics. Lifetime: 182 days. Set only with your consent (section 3.5).infavorem_admin– set by infavorem.lt. Signing in to the administration system; set only for the website's administrators, never for visitors. Lifetime: 14 days. No consent needed: it is strictly necessary.
The Google map, if you load it, may set its own cookies (section 3.4). The website uses no advertising, social media or other cookies. You can view and delete cookies in your browser's settings; if you delete the consent cookie, the consent banner will be shown again.
10. How we protect data
- The website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- The administration system is accessed with personal passwords. Passwords are stored only as irreversible hash values, and repeated failed sign-in attempts are slowed down.
- The content of inquiries is not published anywhere and is not sent to any outside service, except as an email to our mailbox.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the website, the way we process data, or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page, with its date at the top.
